Bees and the Interdependent Ecosystem

June 4, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Thursday | June 4 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM | Room 107

Presented by: Jacqueline Freeman

Scientists continue to search for a single cause of the honeybee decline, in hopes of finding one easily treated by pharmaceutical treatments. Alas, it’s not that easy. Many people are beginning to understand that bees began dying off when humans began taking shortcuts.

Some of these steps are related to current bee care modalities, but others implicate human activities we don’t associate with bee care.

Despite the gloomy forecast, there is room for celebration and you can be part of it. Bees can survive – and thrive – if we all make a few changes in how we live.

Come learn what these steps are and how we can honor these gentle beings of light and love.
