Join Patch Adams for a Free Talk on Medicine for Fun, Not Funds

April 3, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bastyr University’s Center for Mind, Body, Spirit and Nature invites you to the free talk “Medicine for Fun, Not Funds” by Patch Adams, MD, founder of the Gesundheit Institute.

Patch introduces Gesundheit as an example of medicine for fun, not funds, and helps the audience design, explore and implement their own dreams. This talk explores the history, philosophy and future of Patch’s ultimate vision of the Gesundheit Institute. It includes a dialogue exchange with audience/participants.

Patch Adams is best known for his work as a medical doctor and a clown, but he is also a social activist who has devoted over 40 years of his life to changing America’s health care system. He believes that laughter, joy and creativity are an integral part of the healing process and, with the help of friends, he founded the Gesundheit Institute in 1971 in order to address all the problems of health care in one model.
