Course Overview
This course will provide insight into how adrenal overexertion is associated with irregularities in thyroid hormone status, sex hormone production, and cardiovascular disturbances. This webinar will review several key signs and symptoms linked with subclinical and clinical adrenal dysfunction, and offer evidence-based prescriptions for the management of adrenal dysfunction.

Attend this presentation to confidently:
-Identify the most important signs and symptoms associated with subclinical adrenal dysfunction.
-Assess adrenal health using physical exam techniques as well as serum and saliva testing.
-Identify the connection between the adrenal gland, thyroid gland, and sex hormone production

-Understand the pros and cons of naturopathic vs. conventional approaches to adrenal dysfunction.

Biography

Dr. Michael Friedman, ND, is adjunct faculty of endocrinology at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and is also the Executive Director of the non-profit Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine (AARM), as well as the editor and chief of the affiliated Journal of Restorative Medicine. He authored the medical textbook Fundamentals of Naturopathic Endocrinology and co-author of Healing Diabetes, and Evidence Based Approach for Restoring Thyroid Health. His research on the use of sustained release T3 has been published by the medical department of the University Puerto Rico. Dr. Friedman has lectured internationally at both naturopathic and allopathic medical schools including National College of Naturopathic Medicine, University of Bridgeport, Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and at the Dehradun Medical School of Physicians and Surgeons in India.
