brainbookChicago – Fraser Smith, BA, MATD, ND, assistant dean for naturopathic medicine at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS), has released a new book titled, “The Complete Brain Exercise Book.” It offers a strategy to train your brain, improve memory, language, motor skills, and more. It also includes a health and diet plan with 100 recipes.

The book offers ways to both recover brain function as well as prevent the loss of brain function due to aging and neurological disease. There are over 150 brain exercises and puzzles along with extensive brain food lists and menu plans.

“Many people do repetitive tasks that don’t expand their learning – even if they use modern technology. They stick to the same daily routines and don’t learn new things,” says Dr. Smith. “We can help ourselves by learning new skills and doing activities that go outside our comfort zone.”

This is the third book Dr. Fraser Smith has published through Robert Rose, and is available on Amazon.com. His other recent books include: Keep Your Brain Young, and The pH Balance Health and Diet Guide for GERD, IBS and IBD.

“Dr. Smith is doing a fantastic job bringing his extensive knowledge of health science into practical guides for today’s readers,” says President Joseph Stiefel of NUHS. “We’re proud to have him leading the naturopathic medicine program at National University.”
