MAR - The Rest of This Story

In reading an early draft of Dr. Suhaila’s article I was struck by the rapid decrease in PSA she mentions in this case study, from about 150 ng/mL to < 1 ng/mL. This prompted me to question her closely about the details of this case. The patient had purchased a prostate formula off the internet that from the listed ingredients looked like it was formulated to treat benign prostate hypertrophy. The only atypical ingredients were 10 mg of nattokinase and 50 mg of curcumin per capsule. It was hard for me to believe that this stuff would, as the patient believed, be responsible for such a dramatic drop in PSA. It was easier for me to imagine the patient’s test results were mixed up with someone else’s.
