Nordic Naturals Hosts Very Special Guests at NPEE 2014

Watsonville, California (August 19, 2014) Nordic Naturals®—ranked the #1 fish oil in the U.S. according to SPINS—will host special guests from Paws for Veterans during Natural Products Expo East, September 18-20, 2014, in Baltimore, MD. The non-profit organization will be the focus of the company’s fourth-quarter retail campaign: “Buy One Bottle. Help Two Heroes.” Paws for Veterans provides life-changing support to combat-wounded veterans by pairing them with shelter dogs that have been rescued from euthanasia and specially trained as medical service dogs. Veterans and their dogs will be at Nordic Naturals booth #4825 to share their stories. They will also cheer on attendees who play “Toss for a Cause,” an in-booth game to raise funds for the non-profit.

On Friday, September 19, from 1 to 2:30 pm in Room 316 of the Baltimore Convention Center, Paws for Veterans representatives and their service dogs will join Dr. Michael Lewis, MD, MPH, MBA, FACPM, Retired Colonel, U.S. Army, as he presents Achieving Optimal Health for Returning Soldiers: The Role of Omega-3s. Dr. Lewis will discuss the latest omega-3 research as it relates to brain health, as well as the prevalence of omega-3 deficiency in the military and how we can correct it. Paws for Veterans representatives will speak and show a brief video. Retailers who attend will be entered into a drawing for an iPad Air.
