Joshua Zavertnik, PT, DPT
Presentation on Assessment and Recovery of the Athlete: Beyond Treatment Protocols, featuring OANP Sponsors: Labrix & Chiral Balance
Joshua Zavertnik is a physical therapist and clinical director for Therapydia Portland. In 2009 he graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from Pacific University. Following his graduation form Pacific University he entered into the Kaiser Permanente Hayward PT Fellowship and I 2012 earned his Fellow status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Josh is also a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist with the APTA and a level I certified Functional Movement Systems clinician. In addition to the secondary education in orthopaedic sports medicine and manual therapy, Josh is also a CrossFit Level 1 trainer. He is an active member within the Oregon Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
As a movement and mobility specialist, Josh’s clinical expertise incorporates a blend of sports medicine, orthopaedic manual therapy, functional movement/mobility assessment and sport specific training. A large part of his clinical practice is helping those he works with to develop self-driven corrective strategies.
Out of the clinic Josh is active within the CrossFit community as a RockDoc which has taken him to the CrossFit Northwest regionals and various local events. He regularly contributes articles to the Tabata Times, a functional fitness media company. Teaching and mentoring are additional passions for Josh. He has participated in the clinical mentoring process within the Kaiser Permanente Hayward PT Fellowship and will be teaching an advanced exercise course within the fellowship program. Josh will also be assisting with Pacific University’s School of Physical Therapy within the orthopaedic department in the spring.
