SUMMARY:Five Elements - Face Reading: Revealing the Patterns of Personality
DESCRIPTION:Share This ArticleThe face can reveal our personal history\, personality traits and even our emotional struggles. Knowing how to read the faces of people in our lives – family\, friends\, patients or colleagues – can offer us valuable information to enrich our relationships. Knowing how to read our own facial features can help us better understand ourselves. Sat & Sun\, June 4 – 5\, 10:00am – 4:00pm Instructor: Jennifer Labbienti (10 CEUs\, CMEs\, PDAs) \nFace reading\, based in the Five Elements principles of Chinese medicine\, is the science of recognizing patterns in facial features that correspond to certain personality traits. Although conventional medical diagnosis attempts to assign a differential diagnosis of one specific kind of joint challenge\, in reality\, many people exhibit a continuum of issues. For example\, even if ‘wear and tear’ is part of the cause\, pro-inflammatory cytokines are often also involved\, leading to accelerated tissue concerns. In this webinar we will review inflammatory pathways and mediators\, such as NF-κB. We will discuss botanicals that can modulate these pathways\, and exhibit other supportive actions\, that lead to enhanced patient comfort.* \nHerbs to be discussed:\n• Jamaican Dogwood\n• Ginger\n• Devil’s claw\n• Boswellia\n• Turmeric\n• Hawthorn\n• Ashwagandha\n• Rosemary\n• Nettle Leaf\n• Others: Hops\, California Poppy\, etc. \nThis webinar is eligible for 1.0 CE hour for ND. To receive CE credit\, you must select ND for your credentials when registering. The CE credit is available only to those participating in the live webinar. After the live webinar\, all ND attendees will automatically receive their CE certificate from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). Gaia Herbs Professional Solutions will provide attendance information to AANP following the live webinar\, there is no follow up required to receive the CE certificate. \n*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This webinar is not intended to diagnose\, treat\, cure or prevent any disease. \nAbout the Presenter: \nEllen Kamhi\, PhD\, RN\, AHG\, AHN-BC\, The Natural Nurse® has been involved in Natural Medicine since 1973\, when she directed a program in Ethnobotany at Cochise College in Douglas\, Arizona. SUMMARY:Critical Updates on FDA Regulation of In-Office Use Compounded Injectable Materials WEBINAR: “Oh No! Do I have to comply with all this?”
DESCRIPTION:Share This Article\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCritical Updates on FDA Regulation of In-Office Use Compounded Injectable Materials WEBINAR: “Oh No! Do I have to comply with all this?”\n\n\n\nDate: Wednesday April 20\, 2016\nTime: 5:30 – 8:30 PM (Webinar and Q&A)\nSpeaker: Dr. Paul Anderson\nPrice: $85 for members | $105 non-members \nFor More Info & To Register: https://www.consultdranderson.com/product/oanp-web-call/ \n“Can I order compounded injectables for in-office use?”\n“Can I have an IV Happy Hour Bar?”\n“Do I need to buy my own laminar flow hood to continue doing IVs?” \nFor all these questions and more\, the answer is “it depends…” \nThe FDA has cracked down on compounded injectable solutions for in-office use after an outbreak of fungal meningitis was attributed to a contaminated compounded product that killed 55 people and sickened 700 nationally. FDA regulations have been an ever moving and baffling target\, largely resulting in providers needing to order compounded injectables in individual doses for specific patients only\, thereby increasing costs\, delaying timely treatment\, and creating barriers to patient care. \nDr. Paul Anderson has spent the last two years sorting through official documents\, consulting with industry experts including pharmacy and legal professionals\, and conducting personal investigations for private medical practices impacted by the FDA rules. In this course\, Dr. A consolidates the laws and rules you need to observe\, will walk you through best clinical practices for enhanced patient safety\, and will answer all your questions about how to legally use injectable compounded medications in your practice. \nThis is a MUST TAKE seminar for anyone who does IVs.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShare This Article

Currently she focuses on treatment  of “untreatable” unusual illnesses and prevention of illness. She also supervises acupuncture and naturopathic students at her clinic.\nDr. Ambrose tries to utilize natural therapeutics as well as lifestyle counseling to address patient’s symptoms when they come. Patients’ pain leads them to discover their physical weakness\, which can be countered by changing lifestyle. Illness can lead to a deeper understanding of self and if addressed appropriately prevent potentially fatal illnesses in the future. Illnesses like autoimmune disorders\, neurological diseases\, infections\, chronic pain\, can be treated gently and naturally without toxic medications. This takes support\, encouragement by the physician\, and determination on the patients’ part. Overall the most utilized medicine of all in her practice is love and laughter.\n\nKeep checking our web site for additional information on our fabulous speaker program. \nSee you there. \n\n\n\n\nShare This Article
