Additionally, Dr. Bradley will bring his unique model of naturopathic diabetes and cardiovascular care to patients in the San Diego area at Bastyr University Clinic. Re-creating the successful program Dr. Bradley created at Bastyr University’s Seattle clinic, the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Wellness program will be designed to help patients with these controllable and preventable conditions. Patients will benefit from education about their condition(s), comprehensive lifestyle guidance, naturopathic perspectives on choices in medications and recommendations for supplemental nutritional and botanical treatments.
“You might not associate diabetes with cardiovascular disease, but what the two diseases share is the power people have to control and prevent them,” says Dr. Bradley. “By delivering cutting-edge risk assessment and integrative clinical services, Bastyr University hopes to care for San Diego patients by delivering diet and lifestyle modifications as routine elements of care. In many cases, healthy lifestyle choices are often more effective than pharmaceutical care, and actually decrease the incidence of diabetes, heart attacks and other circulatory problems.”
“We welcome Dr. Bradley to San Diego and are excited about the wealth of knowledge and experience he brings,” says Bastyr University California Vice President Moira Fitzpatrick, PhD, ND, FICPP, CHT. “Dr. Bradley is a shining star in the naturopathic medicine community and his arrival to Southern California promises to benefit patients, students and other doctors in the San Diego integrative medicine community.”
Dr. Bradley started in his new role on April 8, 2013. Bastyr University California and its teaching clinic are located at 4106 Sorrento Valley Blvd., San Diego.
