Naturopathic Doctor News & Review (NDNR) serves as a dynamic voice for the advancement of naturopathic medicine while promoting personal and professional development for practicing NDs. Our primary audience is licensed naturopathic physicians and includes: graduates and students of CNME‐approved naturopathic medical colleges in the United States and Canada; manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and researchers of the nutraceutical and natural products industries; and patients and advocates of naturopathic medicine.


Video submissions must be original, previously unpublished, and contributed by physicians with a naturopathic degree from a CNME‐accredited institution:

• Bastyr University, Seattle, WA

• NCNM, Portland, OR

• SCNM, Tempe, AZ

Rather than general overviews, videos must cover a specific topic, protocol, modality, diagnostic approach, philosophy, commentary, or case study pertaining to naturopathic medicine. Illustrations, photographs, charts, and protocols, embedded in the video submission, are encouraged.

Topic areas may include:

• Clinical research and observation

• Naturopathic philosophy

• Clinical pearls and interesting cases—case studies

• Practice building and business management*

• Development of new techniques or protocols

• Abstracts and reviews

• Discussions pertaining to diagnostics

• Public/media relations and networking

• Technologies that make practices more efficient and profitable

• Current trends and issues that affect naturopathic physicians in your area

• News, announcements, and event notices

• Educational and grassroots programs that further the naturopathic cause

• Any other trend, event, or development you believe is pertinent to the profession

* The speaker(s) should either be an ND(s), or they must have extensive expertise in the area in which they are discussing (such as practice building).

Video Submission types that WILL NOT be accepted:

• Videos that are overly general

• Videos that appear to name, promote, or advertise a specific product, service, service provider, or company.



Videos may be up to 15 minutes long. 

Technical Specifications

Video files should be submitted in one of the following formats:

  • .AVI
  • .MOV
  • .MPEG4
  • .WMV

If your video is in another file format, please convert files prior to submission. NDNR can assist with the conversion process upon request.

Copyrighted Material

Your video must not include copyrighted material, or material you do not have permission to use, such as:

  • Audiovisual works
  • Sound recordings
  • Music
  • Written work
  • Images
  • Computer software

Permission for any of the above-mentioned content must be submitted in writing before or with the final video files.


Video contributors will be given a submission date. Submitting your video by this date gives us the time required to edit it. It also provides you an opportunity to review the edits, ask questions, and to clarify areas.

Submission Guidelines

It is preferred that audio/video files be submitted via e-mail, file sharing services (,, or on CD via US media Mail.

1)     Name your video file in this format: “Last name, First name, Video Submission”
Example: “Smith, John, Video Submission”.

2)     Please submit a brief summary of your video, and your bio, in a Word file.
Name your file in this format: “Last name, First name, Summary” Example: “Smith, John, Summary”.

3)     Submit a headshot

4)     Submit the Video Proposal form.

Once your video is submitted, it will be reviewed to ensure it will be suitable for posting. Although we make every effort to post videos as promptly as possible, submission of your video does not guarantee it will be used. NDNR reserves the right to edit videos and edited videos will not be provided to authors prior to publication. NDNR reserves the right to pull any video if necessary for any reason.
