Advancing Naturopathic Residency Programs

Products and Services

Announcing the Protocol for Life Scholarship! The Institute for Natural Medicine and NOW Health Group are making an investment—the largest of its kind—to advance naturopathic residency programs. Over a period of 5 years, the scholarship will address and enhance naturopathic training accessibility and create more opportunities for the NDs of the future.

Recognizing the importance of residencies and the crucial part they play in a naturopathic doctor’s development, the scholarship will make certain that NDs “are well-equipped to deliver effective natural and sustainable healthcare solutions.”

The scholarship honors Elwood Richard, founder of NOW Foods, who died in 2017.

“The Richard family was inspired by my mother, Betty Richard, who grew up very poor and received financial aid to go to college. Our family is helping pay for residency education and training as a way to ‘pay it forward’ to others who also have financial needs. The important work INM does in whole-person health aligns very well with our company’s philosophy,” stated Dan Richard, NOW Health Group’s vice president of global sales and marketing.
