Program Description
Integrative, interdisciplinary medicine is the future of healthcare. Optimal health is achieved through personalized health care that addresses the cause of the illness and the mind, body, spirit and environmental factors impacting health. This is particularly important for cancer patients. A personalized approach to integrative cancer care combines treatments from standard medical care for cancer — chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgical interventions –with complementary therapies like nutrition, physical therapy, acupuncture, psychosocial or spiritual support.
Creating Integrative Cancer Teams: Learning from those who Make it Work is a two-day event that will arm you with clinical knowledge, the latest research and integrative team-building best practices you can use immediately.
