Maryland Passes Licensure Bill

Naturopathic News

The Maryland Senate overwhelmingly approved a bill to license naturopathic doctors in Maryland. Leaders from the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MDANP) are optimistic the governor will sign the bill. The House unanimously approved the bill last weekend.

“After four years of educating our state’s legislature and medical community about the value and merit of naturopathic medicine, I could not be more proud of what our MDANP Team accomplished!” shares MDANP President, Emily Telfair, ND. “Throughout this process we knew that passing this bill was not just about supporting our own practices, but paving the way for the next generation of healers in our field. Here’s to the future of our medicine and the future looks bright!”

The governor’s signature will culminate several years of tireless effort by the MDANP to achieve licensure in Maryland.

Congratulations to all!
