January 10, 2014 – The University of Bridgeport is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcia Prenguber, ND, FABNO, as the new Dean of the UB College of Naturopathic Medicine, and she will be assuming this role starting on March 1, 2014. The University and the College of Naturopathic Medicine could not be more pleased to have such an experienced physician and leader within the naturopathic medicine community join us. We look forward to her leading the ND program to its next level of growth and evolution. The University is committed to attracting the brightest and most innovative leaders in all programs within the UB Division of Health Sciences and the addition of Dr. Prenguber is the latest demonstration of that commitment.

Dr. Prenguber is a board-certified naturopathic oncologist and former President, Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), and Director of Integrative Care, Goshen Center for Cancer Care. A leader in her field, Dr. Prenguber is one of a limited number of naturopathic physicians to accomplish the designation of a distinguished Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology. She is a co-founder of the Naturopathic Post-Graduate Association, the naturopathic residency organization.  With previous experience as a teacher and an administrator, Dr. Prenguber received her doctorate in natural medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR, a Master of Science in Education Administration from California State University, Fullerton, CA, and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD.
