State associations in Colorado and Maryland are making significant headway this legislative session. In Colorado, CoAND engaged in extensive negotiations with the medical society, then pushed its revised licensing bill through the House Finance Committee and on to the Appropriations Committee. In Maryland, MDANP worked within a stakeholder forum last fall to air concerns and make appropriate changes to its legislation, then turned out major support in a House committee. Next step—a Senate committee hearing.
