New Book Offers Wellness Solutions for Fibromyalgia Patients

Naturopathic News

TORONTO, December 3, 2013 – Patients suffering from fibromyalgia now have a new resource to help improve the quality of their life. The Complete Fibromyalgia Healthy, Diet Guide and Cookbook was recently published and includes tools and recipes designed to help patients on the road to improvement and recovery.

In 2010, an estimated 438,900 Canadians were diagnosed with fibromyalgia (FM). The book, authored by Louise McCrindle, B.Sc., (Hons), ND and Alison Bested, MD, FRCPC, provides support for a condition that is often misunderstood and untreated.

This book was written to offer hope and support, to let patients suffering know that they are not alone and that this is not all in their heads. It provides useful and practical tools, as well as recipes to help better manage and treat fibromyalgia. Despite the high prevalence of FM, there is still relatively little support and understanding out there – this book hopes to address this gap taking an integrated approach to health. If you or someone you know is struggling with FM – this book was written for you.

The book helps people understand what fibromyalgia is, its causes and diagnosis, provides details on how to manage the condition using conventional and complementary therapies. It highlights the importance of diet and provides 100 recipes to help manage symptoms.
