Clinical studies show CHORI-bar results in broad scale health improvements

Naturopathic News

OAKLAND, Calif. – A doctor at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute has invented a fruit-based, fiber-dense supplement bar that he said improves metabolism in overweight and obese adults.

He also claims when it is consumed over two months will reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, reduce chronic inflammation, reduce weight and waist circumference and lower the risk of many chronic diseases.

Research results were published online in the April 22 edition of the FASEB Journal.

The CHORI-bar was developed over the course of a decade and has a complex composition. It has been subjected to more than one clinical trial … where participants were not required to change their lifestyle, but only to consume two bars a day over the course of two months.

The premise behind the bar’s development is that obese people do not eat nutritious diets, which results in an unhealthy metabolism that encourages the development of disease. The need of vitamins and minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber is satisfied by the CHORI-bar, which contains normal dietary amounts of these components.

The conclusion about the researcher’s work on the CHORI-bar is that by supplying the daily requirements of these nutrients, a healthier metabolism and body weight will result, which can lessen the risk for weight and metabolism-related diseases.
