Plan to attend the AANP DC FLI, April 29-May 1. Come to the nation’s capital and make your voice heard! The FLI will train you to represent the profession through interactive workshops, culminating with meetings on Capitol Hill. You’ll also benefit from AANP State Alliance sessions, including an exploration of student involvement in state associations.
There’s no registration cost for students who are dual NMSA-AANP members!
The State Alliance education sessions at the FLI are incredibly timely. On the heels of Massachusetts’ licensure win, a dozen state associations will be seeking licensure in 2017 (ID, IL, IN, MI, MN, MS, NJ, NY, NV, NC, OK, RI, WI) – and 4 more will be seeking scope expansion (CA, CO, CT, ND).
On the Federal level, a new Congress and Administration opens up new opportunities for AANP to push for insurance non-discrimination, to have NDs included in the VA, and to emphasize that naturopathic care is a much-needed alternative to opioids for the treatment of chronic pain. (By registering for the FLI, you can also attend the seminar on chronic pain immediately preceding the State Alliance program on Saturday, April 29.)
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND
The DC FLI attracts leaders across the profession. It’s where the most exciting work of the AANP happens.
The first 2 days are set at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel. The third day takes place entirely on the Hill. The energy and fun of the FLI are palpable! See what attendees of last year’s event said about the DC FLI here.
