The presentation to be covered is ‘FFR guided treatment of significant bifurcation lesions‘ performed by Dr. Nicolas M. Van Mieghem, Interventional Cardiologist, Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC, NL.

This free-to-attend interactive case is targeted at interventional cardiologists and interventional cardiology fellows taking care of patients with coronary artery disease, but is also open to other cardiologists wishing to update their scientific knowledge on the topic.

PROVISIONAL AGENDA

Identify and grade significant coronary bifurcation disease
Demonstrate passage of Acist Navvus through the coronary stent struts
Implement FFR technology in bifurcation disease
Select proper stent strategy: provisional or 2-stent technique based on FFR result
Treat bifurcation side-branch when appropriate
Measure post-PCI improvement
Summarise role of physiology in coronary artery revascularisation

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

This case is to inform and educate interventional cardiologists on:
Strategy selection to approach significant true bifurcation lesions
Implementation of FFR assessment in bifurcation lesions
Implementation of FFR in side-branch assessment after provisional stenting
Use of microcatheter based FFR technology
