Cultivating a Healing Presence: Discovering the Healer Within

October 8, 2011 - October 9, 2011

You spent years learning the technical skills and specific modalities of your profession.  But you may not have devoted that same amount of time to consciously developing the healer within you. This highly experiential seminar focuses on enhancing your capacity to offer a healing experience for your clients through the presence and awareness you bring to the therapeutic relationship.

The structure and progression of this two-day seminar begins with an emphasis on expanding your awareness, including embracing “healer heal thyself” as a necessary path to serve your clients with greater presence and compassion.  The focus on the “self” is integrated into an awareness of others through exercises that interweave communication and coaching skills, somatic practices, and subtle energy observation and listening.  In learning to develop greater trust, rapport, and connection with clients, you will also engage in an inquiry process that will help you to access a more authentic and embodied way of practicing your healing art.  Explore how the healing presence you offer to others is a direct reflection of your own vitality and your expression of the passion and unique flavor you bring to your life and work.

This seminar will nourish you as a healer, deepen the heart and soul of your work and service, and allow who you “are” to become your medicine.  Gift yourself, your clients, and the world by consciously choosing to cultivate your healing presence. Reconnect with your passion and find your work infused with vital energy.

Upon completion of this seminar you will be able to:

  • Describe what it means to cultivate a healing presence.
  • Define the gross, subtle, and causal realms of awareness.
  • Use new practices to expand awareness, ground and center.
  • Identify what it feels like to embody a healing presence.
  • Use new tools to stay engaged with healing and shadow work.
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen to another with deep presence and compassion.
  • Describe and demonstrate the skills involved with active listening.
