Foundations 2022
Foundations in Contemplative Care
with
Sensei Chodo Campbell & Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison
Monday, May 23rd, 2022
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm ET
The Foundations program is profoundly impactful, and life-altering. I am still unpacking all that I learned, and grappling with the awarenesses that it brought to light. I am deeply grateful for the thought and wisdom that went into shaping the program, and the time and care of our teachers and mentors.
– Rochelle Friedlich, Foundations Alumni
Join us Monday, May 23rd for an information session to discuss our upcoming Foundations in Contemplative Care program.
Our conversation together will focus on the transformative and the practical aspects of contemplative carepartnering, and you will hear first-hand from Foundations students who have completed the training.
You will also be able to ask questions, meet other interested students, and discuss the training in a group setting.
If you know of someone who might be interested in applying, please forward this to them.
Foundations in Contemplative Care is a comprehensive and transformative training program in carepartnering presented from a Zen Buddhist perspective. This experiential approach provides classroom learning, supervised clinical work, and one-on-one mentoring. The Zen Center has trained and supported over 600 people in this program since it began in 2007.
Program components include two class days a month over nine months, an in-person retreat, fifty clinical hours in a hospital, hospice, or residential community, peer group meetings, and self-directed reading and writing assignments. Ideal for professional caregivers such as counselors, hospice and social workers, and anyone who cares for others.
The 2022-23 Foundations in Contemplative Care program is currently accepting applications for our next cohort, beginning September 9, 2022. The application deadline is August 5, 2022.
