September 2012 – Changing Hands Bookstore, Arizona. On September 8th, Counselor Kristine Godinez will share her independently-published memoir What’s Wrong With Your Dad?: Growing Up the Child of an Addict with Borderline Personality Disorder.

In this book, Godinez explains what it was like to grow up with chaotic, self-centered parents, where her “normal” family life was defined by crisis, addiction, and rage. She details how she grew from a small-town Californian girl to opening her own private practice in Mesa. She also provides insight into what drives both alcoholism and BPD, and the message that, as she puts it, “Just because childhood might have been rocky, it does not mean one cannot have success and fun as an adult.”

KRISTINE GODINEZ is a graduate of University of Phoenix Master of Counseling program and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. She has owned her own private practice Aha! Counseling AZ since 2009 and specializes in Addictions, Grief and Trauma. Kristine has a signature sense of humor and method of conducting therapy, drawing from not just one, but many traditional and non-traditional therapeutic methods, amongst which is a unique approach to humor, and even profanity.
