Now Accepting Applications for 2014

MANCHESTER, NH, January 15, 2014 –Emerson Ecologics, the leading distributor of over 275 brands of vitamins, supplements, and natural products, announced on Wednesday, January 15th that they are now accepting applications for The Emerson Grant. The Emerson Grant program supports the work of practitioners and promotes integrative medicine in the United States.

In April 2014, Emerson Ecologics will award grants totaling $25,000 to support projects and initiatives that improve, expand, or support the practice of integrative medicine. The Emerson Grant is a competitive, discretionary award ranging from $500 to $10,000.

The goal of The Emerson Grant program is to provide funding to non-profit organizations in the form of a one-time grant to support specific projects and initiatives which will add value to the integrative medicine community. Projects may include legislative efforts, public awareness campaigns, or enhancements to education or clinical training, but all projects are welcome. Emerson values what integrative medicine has to offer and is pleased to support projects that will make a lasting impact in the industry and on patient health.

The Massachusetts Society of Naturopathic Doctors, one of the winners of The Emerson Grant in 2013, utilized the money they received to hire an additional lobbyist to help further their efforts toward licensure for naturopathic doctors in Massachusetts. The organization’s President, Amy Rothenberg, ND, said, “The generous and timely grant from Emerson Ecologics helped our state association in the past year beyond measure. We were able to accomplish many of the steps related to reaching our goal of full licensure for naturopathic doctors in the state of Massachusetts. We look forward to Emerson’s ongoing support of our mission and our legislative work.”

Emerson Ecologics is dedicated to the continued emergence of natural healthcare and wellness. They recognize that hundreds of volunteer-driven organizations work tirelessly to support integrative medicine. As the premier resource of products and services for the integrative healthcare community, Emerson wants to help these organizations achieve their vision.
