Food as Medicine Institute & FoodWorx

Proceeds of this event will go to the Foodworx Student Scholarship Fund.

What if all teens graduated from high school with essential culinary skills? What if they learned these skills within the context of classes already required for graduation? Food education provides a thread for learning that is both rigorous and “real world.” Through this learning, a basis is formed for youth to cultivate food justice and create systemic shifts in our food systems.

In addition to one-on-one time with Maggie, attendees will have access to Dr. Julie Briley, the lead physician of the Food as Medicine Institute and a naturopathic doctor with an extensive nutrition background and Tressa Yellig, of Salt, Fire & Time – two amazing local Portland resources.
