The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine invites all caregivers and their little ones (newborn to adolescent) to participate in its annual Pediatrics Open House on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25.  The practicum is an opportunity to learn more about naturopathic medicine and the pediatric services provided at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC).

Families will visit with a pair of RSNC 3rd year interns for approximately 20-30 minutes.  A well-child assessment (brief questioning and non-invasive physical exam) will take place.  Though no diagnosis will be provided, any findings will be communicated to the parent/guardian.  If necessary, referral back to the family’s primary health-care provider or to the RSNC will be given.  Interns will also be on hand to answer any general questions regarding naturopathic pediatric care.

In addition to the practicum, activity stations will be set up where kids and families can explore hydrotherapy, botanical medicine, nutrition and exercise!

Each child will receive a complimentary two-visit voucher to the RSNC for participating!

Dates/Time:      Friday, January 24, 2 – 5 p.m. (appointment times are 2 and 3:30)
Saturday, January 25, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (appointment times are 9 and 10:30)
