networking opportunities, featuring natural medicine experts discussing the topic of Women’s Health. As the professional
association for Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) in the state of Texas, TXANP is dedicated to advancing the principles of
Naturopathic Medicine and expanding access to this natural, holistic, prevention-based form of healthcare.

Speakers:

  • Grandmother Margaret Behan, was born into the Cheyenne Bever Clan on her mother’s side and the Rabbit lodge on her father’s Cheyenne/Arapaho side. Grandmother Margaret has self-healing experience recovering from substance abuse by rooting herself within traditions. She is now a substance abuse counselor, an author, poet, playwright, artist, traditional Cheyenne dancer, and member of The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.
  • Dr. Eric Udell, ND, What to Use When: A Proposed Model for Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Udell runs a thriving naturopathic practice with an emphasis in homeopathy in Tempe, AZ. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Homeopathy at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). After graduating and completing his residency at SCNM, he was awarded a two year post-doctoral fellowship in homeopathy, making him one of the most highly trained homeopaths in the United States.
  • Mark Blumenthal- Issues and Trends in the Botanical Dietary Supplement Market. Mark is the Founder and Executive Director of the American Botanical Council and Editor and Publisher of the international, peer-reviewed journal HerbalGram. In addition he served for 6 years as Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy and as an advisor for the World Health Organization. Mark is one of the most respected authorities in botanical medicine worldwide.
  • Dr. Will Morris LAc, PhD- Pulse Diagnosis and Treatment of the Pelvis in Women’s Health. Recognized internationally as an expert in Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, Dr. Morris is the president and CEO of the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. A national leader of the movement to incorporate Chinese medicine into the American healthcare system, he is also former president of the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM).
  • Dr. John Neustadt, ND- Osteoporosis, Beyond Bone Mineral Density. Dr. Neustadt serves as medical director of Montana Integrative Medicine and co-founder of Nutritional Biochemistry, Incorporated. In addition to his roles as internationally-acclaimed speaker and author, Dr. Neustadt is also a practicing clinician who earned the distinction of being the first naturopathic doctor voted ‘Best Doctor’ among all physicians in Bozeman, Montana.
  • Dr. Heather Paulson, ND, FABNO- Understanding the Hormonal Links to Cancer. After graduating from SCNM, Dr. Paulson completed a two-year residency at the Center for Cancer Care in Goshen, Indiana, poising her as one of the few NDs in the United States with expertise in Naturopathic Oncology. In addition to providing this unique perspective to her patients, she also participates in the education committee of the Oncology Associations of Naturopathic Physicians.
