Seminar: Practical Clinical Immunology and Integrative Approaches to Autoimmune Diseases
September 30, 2017 - October 1, 2017
IFSMED Seminars Presents:
Practical Clinical Immunology and Integrative Approaches to Autoimmune Diseases
San Diego, California
Trained as a traditional rheumatologist and having a PhD in immunology, Dr. Alexander Shikhman, developed a unique integrative approach in therapy of chronic autoimmune and connective tissue diseases. This approach is based not only on uncovering well-recognized pathological processes leading to the development of autoimmune diseases, but also on identifying potential triggers and drivers behind these processes; such as chronic infections, immunogenic foods, and heavy metals all in combination with genetically predisposing factors.
Correspondingly, this approach incorporates a new strategy in the integrative therapy of autoimmune and connective tissue diseases that utilizes traditional Western medicine in combination with food supplements, intravenous micronutrients, and physical medicine targeting both aberrant immune responses and their triggers.
IFSMED Seminars discloses the basic principles and practical applications of Dr. Shikhman’s approach.
You can expect to learn:
• Key functional components of the innate and adaptive immune system
• Genetic and environmental factors contributing to specific autoimmune diseases
• Principles of interpreting various immunological tests
• Principles of integrative therapy of including combinations of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals
• Improve early recognition of autoimmune diseases in clinical practice
• Create and optimize integrative protocols focused on autoimmune diseases
• Detect “infectious” signatures in patients with chronic infections and infection-driven autoimmune diseases
• Identify the symptoms and pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract
• Recognize and detect specific clinical features and potential driving forces in major autoimmune diseases
Each session is two days and each session offers 10.5 CEUs granted by American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. The AANP now offers accreditation for MDs (Category 1 CME), PAs, RNs, NPs, and CECH and CPE for dietitians.
