Throughout the homeopathic literate numerous references are noted to many of the stressors that have negative impact on our health. These listings are commonly known as “Ailments from.” We find ailments from; loss of sleep, excess mental work, excess physical work, indiscretions in diet, grief, excessive worry, exposure to cold damp weather, and the list goes on and on. In my twenty some odd years of experience I have not come across a physical, mental or emotional stressor that is not referenced in some way in the homeopathic literature.
As an example I note a ” Rubric” found in the mind section of the Homeopathic Repertory ;”Mind; HANDLE things anymore, cannot, overwhelmed by stress ” for which some 112 remedies are listed.

It is the objective of this presentation to provide the attendees with some very practical knowledge that can be applied in practice with relatively little effort. The homeopathic treatment of stress induced ailments is fundamentally quite simple. We must identify the stressor. Then we note the Patient’s reaction to the stress ( their ailment ) . Finally we add a few differentiating factors and we have a solution in the form of a homeopathic prescription. The examples to be presented demonstrate a clear ” Mind/Body” connection between stress and health.

A great many of our Colleagues have been dissuaded from homeopathy in the mistaken belief that it is a long, frustrating and labourious process. While this may be true of some severe chronic cases, many conditions that result from life’s stressors can be easily addressed with a little knowledge and skill. Through a series of case examples it is my hope that this knowledge can be conveyed to the attendees.
