Learn the basics of playing Tibetan singing bowls and the tingsha, from how to use a striker (or mallet) to using the bowls for self-healing of the head, stomach and feet. Explore how to position one or two singing bowls with bowl placement near the body’s chakras for more specific healing. We will explain how to choose a singing bowl for personal practice (and for those who wish to you may purchase a bowl later in the afternoon, although this is entirely optional). At the end of the day there will be an hour-long experiential sound healing session while Suren plays the bowls and participants relax, receive and rejuvenate. The session will culminate with an ending ceremony consisting of a blessing and Puja. (This seminar is a collaborative effort between Bastyr and East West Bookshop.)
